The 12 times national champion Stuart Farquhar is “Mr Javelin New Zealand” having first thrown for New Zealand as a junior in 1998. Farquhar qualified for his third Olympics after winning the Oda Hiroshima International Meeting in Japan with a world leading and new personal best throw of 86.31m.

Heading into the London Olympics, the Delhi silver medalist currently sits at 3rd in the world and with only 38cm separating the 2nd-4th world ranked athletes he is a definite chance for a medal. With the experience of three World Championships and two World Junior Championships under his belt. Stuart is ready to do battle in London with no clear favorites in the Javelin.
