2017 Australian Championships

2017 Australian Championships

Athletics New Zealand is excited to support Athletics Australia's new competition structure where they have integrated their Junior and Senior Championships and Combined Event Championships for 2017. The Championships will feature as an eight day festival of athletics running from 26 March through to 2 April 2017 to be held at the Sydney Olympic Park.

All athletes need to enter through the Athletics New Zealand online entries system ‘OneSport’. This is where you would have registered to compete in any Athletics New Zealand 2016 National Championships. You should have your own log in and password but if you do not, you can click on the same link and it will direct you to rediscovering these details or entering your details for the first time.

This is a change from previous years where some athletes have been able to enter directly with Athletics Australia. All entries must be done through Athletics New Zealand as the Member Federation. The deadline for entries is midnight, Friday 3 March 2017.

It is a requirement to pay by credit card online as you enter online. If you do not have access to a credit card please contact Teams in order to proceed with your entry.

Price per event is 32.00 NZD
Late entries are a cost of $60.00 per event and are at the discretion of the Athletics NZ High performance department.
Please note if you withdraw entirely or from an event after the closing date of Friday 3rd March 2017, you are not guaranteed a refund.

Athletes that enter this competition are to wear their Centre uniforms when competing.

Grades are U16, U17, U18, U20 and Open.  You must be under the age of the category you wish to compete in by 31 December 2017. I.e. If you are currently 16 but turn 17 before 31 December 2017 then you are competing in the Under 18 age group.
You can enter up a grade as long as you have met the performance standards.
