The ultimate 6-week training programme for runners of ALL abilities—Now available in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin

TempoFit is New Zealand's boot camp for runners. It's perfect if you're just starting out, training to beat your PB or gearing up for your umpteenth marathon. 

Develop efficient running technique, improve speed, and boost endurance with the support of some of NZ's top coaches. All this in a super fun, team training environment. 

Athletics NZ has partnered with Tempofit to deliver Tempofit Wellington and Dunedin in conjunction with Athletics Wellington and Athletics Otago.

 

WHO IS TEMPOFIT FOR? 

TempoFit is designed for your everyday jogger, plodder and weekend warrior. So long as you can run 5k non-stop (at any speed) you will fit in perfectly at TempoFit and have plenty of company. 

 

WHAT'S INVOLVED?

The great coaching and fun, supportive environment of TempoFit will help improve your running technique, speed and endurance. With three workouts a week (a technique session, an accelerate session and a long run) you'll have plenty of variety and meet lots of new friends along the way.

FAQs

Will I fit in at TempoFit?  

A TempoFit season includes runners who have only just run their first 5k non-stop in 35 minutes right through to the speedsters running in the teens for 5k. So, as long as you can run 5k non-stop, you're guaranteed to have a bunch of fellow TempoFit-ers running about your speed.   

But I'm scared I'll stand out from the crowd, I'm not what you'd call a Ferrari! 

Our groups are small enough so that your needs can be catered for and the way we design workouts allows people to run at their own pace but to still have the company and support of the crowd. Plus TempoFit-ers are super supportive so you won't lack for encouragement at workouts!

Do I need to be a member of a running club? 

No. TempoFit is open to everyone and anyone. In fact TempoFit is a great opportunity to experience running in a team environment, so you might just find that joining a running club could be a good option for you in the future. 

Who is TempoFit? 

TempoFit was started in Auckland in 2013 to help everyday runners develop their running further in the company of great coaches and friendly fellow runners. Athletics Wellington, Athletics New Zealand and several Wellington clubs have partnered with TempoFit to deliver it in Wellington. 

Where does my $119 go? 

It mostly covers the wages of your friendly TempoFit coach. And also covers training gear, administration and promotion.
