Athletics isn’t just one sport, it encompasses a variety of disciplines that mean almost anyone can train, compete and excel.
Hurdling
Hurdling includes both the ‘high hurdles’ over shorter distances of 80m – 110m, and the ‘long hurdles’ over 300m and 400m. Besides having good basic speed, hurdlers often possess great coordination, balance and rhythm.
Sprinting
The department of pure speed! Sprints include the 60m, 100m, 200m and the 400m. These events require lighting quick reactions and a flying top speed!
Middle & long distance
From the 800m to 10000m, you'll find a variety of athletes competing in middle and long distance events! Needing aerobic endurance and anaerobic strength - these events include the 800m, 1500m, mile, 3000m, 3000m Steeplechase, 5000m and 10000m
