Fifteen Ultra Athletes Named for 2025 IAU 24HR World Championships in France

Athletics New Zealand is proud to announce a 15-strong team selected to represent Aotearoa at the 2025 IAU 24 Hour World Championships, held in Albi, France, on 18–19 October.

With the event heading to the historic southern French city, New Zealand will be represented by a talented line-up of endurance athletes across both men’s and women’s categories. The course will consist of a 1500m loop with a mix of bitumen and track surface underfoot. The racers will begin their 24 hour epic at 10am on the 18th, with the clock stopping at 10am on the 19th. 

Athletics NZ Out of Stadia Coordinator and Team Leader John Bowden said “This team represents the best of our ultra-running community, dedicated, resilient, and experienced. We are excited to see what they can achieve on the world stage in Albi.” 

Athletics NZ congratulates the selected athletes and wishes them the very best as they prepare for the pinnacle of global 24-hour racing.
