Middle Distance Duo Complete 2025 World University Games Team

Athletics New Zealand is pleased to announce that Kimberley May, Providence College, and Rosa Twyford, University of Canterbury, have been selected for the 2025 FISU World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany!
May is a standout performer in the NCAA, with a best of 4.06.31 over 1500, placing her at number 5 NZ all time. May was second at the 2024 NCAA 1500m Championships behind Maia Ramsden. Twyford won bronze at the 2025 Jennian Homes NZ Track and Field Championships in Dunedin over 1500m. Congratulations to both athletes, who now complete our 19-strong World University Games team.
The selected team listed below will travel as part of the first athletics contingent to attend the World University Games since Napoli in 2019.
