AUCKLAND

Auckland Cross Country Grand Prix #1, Lloyd Elsmore Park, Pakuranga – 28 May 2022
Two weeks after running a marathon personal best in Christchurch, Lisa Cross led throughout the 10km to win the women’s race in 37:20. Katrina Andrew, the 2019 national road champion, was second in 37:40 and the 2019 national cross country champion Maiya Christini was third in 40:12.

Ronan Lee won for the second year in a row in 33:23 from Ben Hamilton 33:56 and Liam Bird 34:14. Simon Mace was impressive in the masters 8km, recording 27:49, to head in Mark Boyce and Paul Crowhurst. Mace won last year in 26:33.

Christian de Vaal was all class in the U20 8km winning by nearly a minute in 27:09. Angus Monro was second. De Vaal won last year in 26:03.

Isabella Richardson won the U20 6km in 24:02 and Katie Wyrill was the first master in the same race in 25:09.

Jack Erikson took out the U18 6km in 20:24 and Charlie Richardson triumphed in the U16 4km in 14:28.

Bella Earl won the U18 4km in 15:07 and Imogen Barlow the U16 2km in 7:17. U14 2km Louay Benaoum 7:05 and Scarlett Gwin 7:37.

98th Vosseler Shield Mountain Races, Mt Victoria – 28 May 2022
Seamus Kane won the 10km in 38:01, from Nathan Tse 38:11 and Jack Shaw 38:34. Hiro Tanimoto was the first master in 40:22.

National road champion in 2012 Sarah Drought won the 5km in 21:37 beating Esther George 22:31 and Mel Brandon 22:41.

3km; Joshua Jordan 10:53 and Poppy Healy 12:36. 1.1km Jacob Williams 4:19 and Mia Thomson 4:59.
