Domestic Results

WHANGAREI
North Island Masters Championships, Kensington Park – 29 November/1 December 2024

Among the many results 93 year old and Life Member of Athletics New Zealand Jim Blair excelled in the throwing events, winning the 90-94 3kg shot put with 5.82m, 400g javelin throw 13.92m, 1kg discus throw 14.17m, 3kg hammer throw 16.63m and in the 12lb weight throw of 8.71m improved on his own New Zealand M90 record 8.61m set in July 2022.

AUCKLAND

McKinnon Shield #5, Mt Smart Stadium – 30 November 2024

Charlotte Goldsmith followed up a PB 100m of 11.97 last week in Christchurch with a further improvement racing to a 11.83 victory over Livvy Wilson. 
Wilson in her first competition since the Oceania Championships in Fiji in June beat Goldsmith in the earlier 60 metres in 7.48 and went right to the wire with Goldsmith in the 100m also clocking 11.83. 

Zachary Saunders who last competed over 100m in the South of England championships in June won the 60m in 6.99 and the 100m in 10.75.

Joe Dolphin was second in the 100m in 10.85 and won the 400m in 48.75. Last month Dolphin ran a PB 400m of 48.65.

Para Athlete Sionann Murphy F37 set a New Zealand Para Athlete 3kg shot put record of 8.78m, adding 6cm to her own record.

Personal bests were posted by Daniel Hayes with 3:49.60 in the 1500m, Stephen Thorpe 16.35 110m hurdles, Ty Gonzales 15.43 110m hurdles .914, Reid Davidson 18.09m 6kg shot put, Antonie Smal 1.5kg discus throw of 44.71m, Kate Borton 400m in 55.63, in the women’s 1500m Nina Chalmers 4:38.47, Isabella Pickering 4:43.41, Sophia Haines 4:44.45 and Morgan Day 4:48.97, Lauren Barrett-Hamilton 100m hurdles .762 14.82 and India Nash 16.00, Barrett-Hamilton also a PB of 11.56m in the triple jump, Amy Thomson 2000m steeplechase in 7:13.78 and Mulan Riseborough (Takapuna) 10.13m in the triple jump.
