Obituary: Keith Bade
The athletics community is mourning the loss of highly respected and popular official stalwart Keith Bade of Wellington, who passed away on Tuesday 25 August.
Keith’s contribution to athletics as an official and masters athlete has been considerable. He has been a regular official at New Zealand championships and Oceania events for more than 20 years.
He was awarded an Oceania Merit Award in 2012 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Oceania area.
He and wife Christine have officiated for the last two New Zealand Track and Field Championships in Christchurch, the most recent in March when Keith was a field official and Christine a post-event official.
