Throws Event Group Plan

Throws in New Zealand has an exceptionally strong history of producing medal winning performances at both the Olympic/Para-Olympic Games and World/Para Championships. Athletics NZ is constantly evolving and investing in this program to allow this momentum to continue through the implementation of innovative programs and camps; athlete selection in High Performance programs; coach development; athlete/coach engagement and collaboration; plus, many community-based initiatives.

Due to the depth of this Event Group, ANZ HP throws coaches have teamed up to create a “Throws Collective Group” which enables cross collaboration to identify how best to grow the EG and support the vision of producing even more multi-medal winning programmes in the future.
