Relive New Zealand’s World Cross Country Champs win
The achievement of the New Zealand men’s team in winning the 1975 World Cross Country Championships is one of the greatest results in this country’s sporting history.
But the story of how a nine-strong group of Kiwi athletes managed to slay the might of England, France, Belgium and Spain to triumph in a competition then regarded as the biggest event in athletics outside of the Olympic Games is little known.
