Athletics NZ is pleased to announce that three athletes have been selected to represent New Zealand at the 2022 IAU 100k world championships which are going to be held in Berlin Germany on 27 August.

The three athletes are:

Mel Aitken from the Wellington Scottish Athletics Club in Wellington
Dawn Tuffery from the Hamilton City Hawks club in Hamilton
Fiona Hayvice from the Wellington Scottish Athletics Club in Wellington

Each of the athletes bring with them significant international experience and achievements over the 100k distance, and despite the lack of opportunities to race during the last two years it will be exciting now to see these three women compete in August.

We wish them all the best for the rest of their preparations in the lead up to the championships, and we are look forward to seeing what they can do in Germany.
