As of Monday 15 February, Auckland is at Alert Level 3 until midnight Wednesday 17 February while the rest of New Zealand is at Alert Level 2 for the same period.

As a result, no organised athletics or group trainings will be permitted in the Auckland region over this period.

Athletics in all other parts of the country can continue, as long as the relevant safety measures are followed for Alert Level 2.

Athletics NZ has created Community Guidelines, which all club leaders are encouraged to read and follow, to view the guidelines please click here

At Alert Level 2, it is mandatory for organisations (including clubs and centres) to display a QR code for the NZ COVID Tracer app if they are operating out of their own facility. The process is easy for clubs and centres, for more information please click here

For clubs outside of Auckland who wish to continue with some athletics activities, please refer to the Athletics NZ club support resource on athletics under Alert Level 2, available by clicking here

Athletics NZ is closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates on our website and social media.

If you are unsure on athletics activity in your region, please contact your centre or club.
