Mt Smart Stadium, Sprints and Hurdles
Nathasha Eady was sharp in her opening sprints of the season winning the 60m in 7.57 -0.3 and the 200m in 23.81 -1.2, close to her PB of 23.35.
National junior 100m and 200m champion for the last two seasons Tommy Te Puni opened his season with a 60m of 7.15 -1.6 and a 100m of 11.34 -2.6.
Hilary Harper of Christchurch was second in the 60m in 7.83 and second in the 100m in 12.54 which was won by Amelie Fairclough in a PB 12.36 -2.7. Fairclough was second to Eady in the 200m also in a PB 24.63.
Troy Middleton won his heat of the 100m in 11.43 +0.2 and the 200m in 22.72 -2.6. Mia Powell won her heat of the 100m in 12.88 -2.0 and the 200m in 25.89 -2.5. National 100m hurdles champion Amy Robertson clocked 7.87 in the 60m and 24.84 in the 200m.
