World Athletics Competitions Update

We have received information from World Athletics regarding new dates for the following competitions:
World Athletics Under 20 Championships:
- This competition has been rescheduled for 17 – 22 August 2021 in Nairobi, Kenya.
- Under the competition’s rules, athletes aged 16 – 19 years on 31 December 2021 will be eligible to compete.
- New entry requirements for this competition have not yet been established but we will continue to monitor communications from World Athletics and re-release the Selection Policy once we have more information.
- Athletes who submitted an Application for Selection Form for this competition will be contacted directly.
World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships:
- This competition has been rescheduled for 23 – 24 April 2022 in Minsk, Belarus.
- The Selection Policy for this competition will be re-released closer to the time of the Championships.
- The athletes selected for this team have already been contacted directly.
2021 World Athletics Cross Country Championships:
- LOC has requested exploration of alternative dates due to closure of Australia’s international borders.
2020 World Athletics Half Marathon Championships
- Awaiting an announcement from World Athletics regarding a cancellation or postponement for this Championships
