2023 IAU 24HR World Championships Team Announcement
Athletics NZ is pleased to announce that 11 ultra athletes have been selected to represent New Zealand at the 2023 IAU 24HR World Championships in Chinese Taipei on 2-3 December.
The eleven athletes are:
Senior Men:
Andrew McDowall Owairaka Athletics Self Coached
James Inwood Athletics and Cycling Masterton Self Coached
Paul Hewitson Wellington Harrier and Athletic Club Self Coached
Shawn O’Leary TTT Runners Auckland Coach Kerry Suter
Sam Harvey Auckland City Athletics Coach Barry Magee
Stuart Hughes Caversham Harrier and Athletic Club Coach Sean Williams
Senior Women:
Carol Robertson Hamilton City Hawks Coach Gary Howard
Jamie Stevenson North Harbour Bays Athletics Self Coached
Sue Hunter Hamilton City Hawks Coach Marcus Daws
Dawn Tuffery Hamilton City Hawks Self Coached
Fiona Hayvice Wellington Scottish Athletics Club Coach Brad Dixon
Each of the athletes bring with them significant experience and achievements in the 24HR event.
We wish them all the best for the rest of their preparations in the lead up to the championships, and we are looking forward to seeing what they can do in Chinese Taipei.
