Athletics NZ Adds to 2022 World Athletics Championships Team

Athletics NZ is pleased to announce that two additional athletes have been selected for the 2022 World Athletics Championships based on performances achieved within the relevant World Athletics qualification periods.
Quentin Rew competed at the Oceania Area 35km Race Walk Championships on 15 May and crossed the line in 2:32.58. The entry standard was 2:33:00.
Sam Tanner raced at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene and won the men’s 1500m with a 3:34.37 PB. The entry standard was 3:35.00.
Quentin and Sam will join the 18 initially selected athletes announced on 13 May 2022:
